FINDING YOUR PURPOSE

Sambawitan Music and Worship Summit 2019

Churches thirst and hunger for God. Church growth defined by key performance indicators such as numbers, program sprawl, and overactivity have resulted in neglecting spiritual leadership and discipleship, growing deeper in the Word, and building solid relationships within the body of Christ. This year’s retreat aims to renew our worship and music by recovering, recommitting to, and representing God’s kingdom agenda for our churches.

For pastors, leaders, and those involved or interested in music and worship ministries

THE CONDUCTOR'S BATON AND THE SHEPHERD'S STAFF: LOOKING INTO THE TRUE PURPOSE OF OUR CALLING AS MUSIC LEADERS
A conductor is portrayed carrying a baton: a symbol of authority. But many do not know that the honorable sceptre originated from a humble shepherd’s rod with a purpose of guiding the flock. This session will lead us back into our true calling as disciples of Christ and as pastors of God’s people.

Even for us, conductors, and teachers, there's always something new to learn. It was a significant and productive summit that fed me with new knowledge, and it made my relationship with God more meaningful. It also gave me a chance to be reunited with some of my former professors and colleagues. This summit was concluded with a very moving concert, entitled "Forever Reign". This concert reminded me of the Lord's undying love for His people. What an Amazing Grace, indeed!!!
