Blessed with a strong music education from Trinity College of Music, London, Joseph Lee pioneered the Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s (SSO) education programme Experiences in Music (1992-1998) and was actively involved in Singapore’s classical music scene.
At Bartley Christian Church, Singapore, he had served as pastor and music director. He currently serves within an advisory role to the Music and Creative Arts Ministry, takes to the pulpit regularly, and enjoys the pastoral opportunities among the community of believers. He will assume the role of Senior Pastor in February 2023.
Thankful for his Master in Divinity with Church Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Texas, USA) in 2006, he furthered his studies with Biola University, in 2019 with the Doctor of Ministry (Ministry Skills)
As Associate Professor at the Singapore Bible College, Joe sees God’s hand in impacting lives, churches and communities through SBC. Since 2011, he continues serving as an executive board member of Global Consultation on Arts, Music and Missions (GCAMM, formerly known as GCoMM).
Married to Amelia, they both enjoy their family of 3 boys. Joe is thankful for the loving relationships, strengthen during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. To add sanity to the mix, he gives a much needed emotional space to his family, by happily cycling around Singapore’s Park Connector Network.
