Dr Rick Griffith is Doctor of Ministry (English) Director and Associate Professor of Biblical Studies. He has taught Bible, theology and preaching at Singapore Bible College since 1991. While at SBC, Dr Griffith has also served as Master of Theology Director, New Testament Coordinator, English Editor of SBC publications and Student Life Director.
Dr Rick has written or contributed to five books. His three-part series through the entire Bible is Advanced Studies in the Old Testament, Volume 1 (BEE World, 2012), Advanced Studies in the Old Testament, Volume 2 (BEE World, 2012), and Advanced Studies in the New Testament (BEE World, 2015). Dr Rick also contributed to Charts of Bible Prophecy, edited by H. Wayne House and Randall Price (Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 2002) and has written articles on biblical subjects in Impact magazine and the Twentieth-Century Dictionary of Christian Biography, edited by J. D. Douglas (Grand Rapids: Baker, 1995).
Dr Griffith has helped begin or contribute to other organizations throughout Asia. In Singapore he helped begin a K-12 international school (ics.edu.sg) and church (cicfamily.com), as well as regularly trains pastors at seminaries in 12 other countries, including Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Myanmar and restricted access nations. He offers 8000 pages of his notes and nearly 200,000 of PowerPoint slides presentations in 35 courses for free download in 51 languages at BibleStudyDownloads.org. Of these, 26 courses are being translated into Chinese.
Dr Rick and his wife Susan are missionaries with WorldVenture. Susan has a vibrant ministry of training student wives from India, Korea, Netherlands, Singapore, Malaysia and restricted countries.
At Crossroads International Church Singapore, he has been known as Pastor Rick since 2006. He and his wife have an active pre-marital counseling and mentoring ministry, as Susan directs the ladies ministry at church. His ordination is at Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth, Texas. He also received the Lewis Sperry Chafer Award at Dallas Theological Seminary, which is the faculty award given to the masters student who best embodies the ideals of DTS in Christian character, academic excellence, & spiritual leadership.
Dr Rick and Susan have three grown sons and two daughters-in-law who live in the USA.
