This relatively small body of fresh water is only about 8 miles wide and 13 miles long and continues to be a busy fishing area, just as it was in Jesus’ day. Along the boat ride, our guide will point out various places along the Sea mentioned in the Gospels. At Ginosar, we will visit the ancient Boat Museum and view the remain of the Jesus boat.
Today, we will be touring sites in the northernmost region of Israel to visit Caesarea Philippi, which was once an ancient Roman city. Inside a large grotto, the Greeks built a shrine to the god Pan.
