The Church needs faithful leaders (2 Tim. 2:2). In this vein, the Centre for Servant Leaders (CSL) seeks to nurture the Church through nurturing church leaders at all levels of church leadership. The work of the CSL is guided by our C.A.R.E. values, namely, collaboration, authenticity, relationships, and empowerment.
Currently, the CSL runs three programmes:
1. The Pastoral Fellowship Programme (PFP)
The PFP is one-year mentoring programme for early-career pastors. Participants will receive mentoring from an experienced senior pastor in small peer groups, in order to further equip them with the skills for service and to provide them with a safe haven of peers for accountability and growth. Scholarships are available for applicants.
2. The Certificate of Church Ministry (CCM)
The CCM is audit-only, two-year programme designed to equip lay ministry leaders people with the necessary skills for service in local churches. Courses focus on basic ministry skill sets like leading small group bible studies, basic pastoral care, leading worship music teams.
3. SBC Alumnus of the Year Award
(Elder Yeh Shu Jen Award)
The SBC Alumnus of the Year Award (AYA), also known as the Elder Yeh Shu Jen Award (EYSJA), is awarded yearly to an alumnus of SBC who has exemplified the mission, vision and fundamentals of SBC. Nomination for SBC Alumnus Award 2018 is open from Nov 2017 to March 2018.
