The College is located in a prime area of Singapore near the junction of Adam Road and Bukit Timah Road, within walking distance from the Botanic Gardens MRT Station. Its workforce is made up of local and overseas faculty and staff. Most overseas faculty and students stay on campus. The College provides lunch for employees from Monday to Friday during semester.

FINANCE MANAGER / SENIOR FINANCE EXECUTIVE

Singapore Bible College is looking for a committed Christian to fill the post of a
Finance Manager / Senior Finance Executive.

Generally, be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Finance Office and accountable for continuous improvement of financial accounting processes and systems, and the production of high quality management information for the management.

  • Oversee and carry out all daily accounting purposes including petty cash reimbursement, scholarship disbursement, asset register maintenance and quarterly GST submission
  • Perform monthly closing and preparation of monthly financial statements for reporting to management and Board
  • Provide support and advice to colleagues in all departments on financial matters as required
  • Prepare information required for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage designated funds and treasury matters
  • Provide support to Finance Sub-Committee, Investment Sub-Committee and Audit Sub-Committee
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements (including GST and Statistics survey filing)
  • Maintain and review the Finance Manual, policy and procedures, and ensure compliance by all departments
  • Liaise with bankers, lawyers, tax agents, external and internal auditors
  • Review and assess the work of the Finance Executive and provide mentoring assistance
  • Review current processes and system for improvements
  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • At least 5 years’ of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in English and Chinese languages
  • Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Competent in MS Office applications and basic internet and web browsing techniques
  • Knowledge of ACCPAC system is an advantage
  • Good stewardship towards money matters
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willing to work beyond normal office hours (if necessary) to complete urgent assignments

STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATOR

Singapore Bible College is looking for a committed Christian to fill the post of a
Strategic Development Administrator.

Centre for Servant Leaders (CSL)

  • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the CSL and its programmes
  • Assist CSL Director in budget proposal and quarterly report by compilation statistical figures for submission to Senior Director of Strategic Development for approval
  • Prepare the annual fund management report to donors or as needed
  • Maintain and update CSL information regularly on SBC website and notice board
  • Document and properly archive activities of the CSL
  • Coordinate CSL events by adhering to CSL standard operational processes

Strategic Development Domain (SDD)

  • Provide administrative support to other departments in Strategic Development Domain whenever necessary/required
  • Provide secretarial support to SDD Senior Director as needed in the areas of finance; data management and reports generation
  • Update database of SDD
  • Supervise and assign work for student helpers (if any)
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Min Diploma in administrative discipline or equivalent
  • Preferred at least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in English and Chinese languages; both spoken and written
  • Competent in MS Office applications and basic internet and web browsing techniques
  • Good organisational skill
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willing to occasionally work at night and weekends

Assistant or Associate Professor of Systematic Theology
School of Theology, English

Singapore Bible College, an evangelical and interdenominational seminary with students from 25 countries and over 3000 graduates in its 65-year history, invites expressions of interest in a teaching position in Systematic Theology at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. As partners in the ministry of the College, all faculty are expected to raise a portion of their financial support.

This position is slated to begin in the July-November 2019 semester. As one of the founding institutions of the Asia Theological Association, the College offers fully accredited MA, MDiv, ThM, and DMin degrees.

  • Teach residential and/or online courses in Systematic Theology (primary emphasis) and Historical Theology (secondary emphasis) as assigned by the Academic Dean on a full-time basis (i.e., 9-12 credit hours or their equivalent)
  • Hold regular office hours to meet with students for consultation and mentoring
  • Evaluate student assignments and submit grades at the end of each semester
  • Lead a pastoral care group composed of students
  • Attend faculty meetings on a regular basis, with administrative duties assigned by the Academic Dean on an ad hoc basis
  • Work on research and writing projects as a lifelong learner
  • Participate fully in the community life of the college (e.g., chapel hours, combined events)
  • Enthusiastic agreement with the College’s mission, vision, and evangelical statement of faith
  • A completed PhD (or equivalent) in Systematic Theology or Historical Theology from a recognized and accredited educational institution
  • 7-10 years of ministry and/or teaching experience
  • Experience in paid ministry, with cross-cultural experience and ordination strongly preferred
  • Ability in research and writing, with a track record of publications
  • Willingness to use and/or learn the latest educational technologies
