Generally, be responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Finance Office and accountable for continuous improvement of financial accounting processes and systems, and the production of high quality management information for the management.

• Oversee and carry out all daily accounting purposes including petty cash reimbursement, scholarship disbursement, asset register maintenance and quarterly GST submission
• Perform monthly closing and preparation of monthly financial statements for reporting to management and Board
• Provide support and advice to colleagues in all departments on financial matters as required
• Prepare information required for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage designated funds and treasury matters
• Provide support to Finance Sub-Committee, Investment Sub-Committee and Audit Sub-Committee
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements (including GST and Statistics survey filing)
• Maintain and review the Finance Manual, policy and procedures, and ensure compliance by all departments
• Liaise with bankers, lawyers, tax agents, external and internal auditors
• Review and assess the work of the Finance Executive and provide mentoring assistance
• Review current processes and system for improvements

• Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ of relevant work experience
• Proficient in English and Chinese languages
• Effective verbal, written communication and presentation skills
• Competent in MS Office applications and basic internet and web browsing techniques
• Knowledge of ACCPAC system is an advantage
• Good stewardship towards money matters
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willing to work beyond normal office hours (if necessary) to complete urgent assignments
