Singapore Bible College, an evangelical and inter-denominational seminary, was founded in 1952 by pastors and leaders from Anglican, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian and independent churches, with the support of the Chinese Church Union, Christian Nationals Evangelism Commission (CNEC) and the Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF).
Presently it offers education in theology and church music in Chinese and English through its four schools: the School of Theology (Chinese), the School of Theology (English), the School of Church Music and the School of Counselling. They offer programmes at Diploma, Bachelor’s and Master’s levels for ministry, missions and marketplace witness, and both Schools of Theology also offer the Doctor of Ministry programme. For lay Christians seeking ongoing theological training, the Centre for Continuing Theological Education offers certificate programmes through evening courses.
Total student enrollment stands at over 500, representing 25 countries. More than 2,000 alumni serve in 40 countries as pastors, missionaries, church planters, theological educators, counselors and workers among orphans, drug addicts and prisoners.
