Application to SBC programmes is made through the Registrar's Office. Submission of the completed application form along with all supporting documents begins the formal application process. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of their maturity and intention to serve, academic qualifications, language proficiency, music proficiency (in the case of music programme applicants), work and ministry experience, endorsement by sending agency, character assessments by their references, congruency with our statement of faith, spiritual gifts and ministry potential, age, and physical fitness. The following are required for evaluating an application: Completed official application form. S$50 non-refundable application fee. All local cheques are to be made payable to "Singapore Bible College." International applicants are required to send the application fee in the form of a Demand Draft in U.S. Dollars for US$50. Three recent passport-size photographs for international and local applicants, preferably taken within the last three months. In addition, international applicants should get ready a photo in JPEG format, of 60 kbytes and 400 by 514 pixels. The digital photo must be between 25mm by 35mm from chin to crown and 35mm wide by 45mm high without border. The digital photo is required by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority of Singapore for application and renewal of student’s pass. A written statement of the applicant’s conversion experience. A written statement of the applicant’s call to ministry. A brief personal doctrinal statement. Church reference form in a sealed envelope. Three character references in sealed envelopes. Health Declaration which includes brief medical and psychiatric history, and present health record. Medical examiner's report to certify general fitness. Copy of birth certificate and copy of passport for international applicants, copy of identity card for local applicants. Completed Financial Support form, signed by sponsors who have promised support. Copy of educational certificates and transcripts of secondary schools, colleges and universities attended. Transcripts in foreign languages must be translated into English. Evidence of English language proficiency, either at certificate level or in the form of TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) scores. For TOEFL scores to be valid, the test must be taken within two years of the date of application. See Prerequisites for required English proficiency levels for respective academic programmes. - Music audition and examination. The School of Church Music requires applicants to undergo entrance examinations. These comprise a Performance Audition (for voice or piano) either in person or by tape, and a Rudiments of Theory Examination. Applicants from Singapore and West Malaysia are required to take the entrance examinations in person on campus. Guidelines for the Performance Audition are enclosed in the application package.
