Dear SBC Alumni The Principal in his commencement address on 21 July 2008 mentioned from Psalm 1 of two lifestyles but one choice. May we conscientiously decide to make eternal investments by living the godly life always staying fresh and bearing fruit. The SOTE 50th Anniversary celebrations are evident, topped with the special dinner on 29th September 2008. Many have responded but if you are one who has yet to indicate that you are coming please do so as numbers are being counted. Those who are flying into the country will have to book your flight quickly if you have not done so already. The time draws near…. Alumni News Recent Cambodian graduates Vanna and Sok Heang are putting into good use what they have learned from SBC as they resume their faculty status at Pnom Penh Bible School. Timothy Sng returned to full-swing ministry at his home church in Tawau and almost immediately placed in the capital city of Sabah, East Malaysia where the seat of Sabahan Anglican administration is. Kiran of Nepal has chosen to focus training of leaders in the West, Mid-West and far West of his country. My visit to South Korea (Jin Ju, Joseph and Joo Hyang), Klang Valley of Malaysia (Pastors: Rev Dr Joshua Levi Yee, Rev Raymond Wong and Timothy Yap; Malaysian Bible seminary faculty: Drs Tan Kim Sai, Loh Soon Choy and Doris Hoo) and Nepal (Kiran, Pasang Lama and Jasmine) allowed me to witness first-hand our alumni in action as they continue to faithfully minister and preach the gospel. We share in the sorrow of Annie Yeo (Alumni Association committee member) who bade farewell to her mother early this month. We rejoice over the birth of Manish son of Jan Mack and his wife, Samantha in mid-July. Do intercede for our alumni: strength as they glow, grow and go for the Lord family life to be intact as due attention is given to spousal and parenting relationships Let us all serve the Lord with gladness as we get involved in the edification of the church and urgent evangelisation of the world.
