| ** Introduction to Psychology is a prerequisite for students without background in psychology. |
| Students are required to complete 120 hours of counselling and 30 hours of supervision through practicum and internship. |
| * BTh graduates of SBC or academically recognized institutions and BA (Psychology/Social Work) may be granted advanced standing for the courses they have taken. They may also, however, be required to taken a certain number of alternative courses/electives (including Directed Studies) as directed by the Dean of the School of Counselling. Examples of elective courses or “mini-specialization”: Addictions, Gerontology, Youth at Risk, Work Psychology, Advanced Marital Therapy, Divorce & Blended Families. |
Admission/Academic Requirements
A Bachelor Degree from a recognized University or Bible College/Seminary
English Language Requirements
‘A’ Level: B4 in ‘AO’ level General Paper or
TOEFL: 550 pts (or 213 for computer-based test) or
IELTS: 6.0 (Academic Candidate)

Application Procedure
The applicant should write to the Registrar for a catalogue/admissions package. The application form, application fee and all supporting documents must arrive at SBC before the dates below:
To begin studying in July (Semester I),
- 15 February (international applicants); 15 April (local applicants)
To begin studying in January (Semester II)
- 15 August (international applicants); 15 October (local applicants)
In addition, applicants must take a Personality Test and have a personal interview with the Dean of SOC. For international applicants where a personal interview may not be possible, you will have to fill in a special “Written Interview Form” in the admissions package.
Special Graduation Requirements
In addition to the completion of credits (as listed and required in the curriculum/ programme) with a GPA of 2.5, MAC students are also required to complete 120 hours of practicum and 30 hours of supervision.
