CE program in SBC seeks to build a holistic approach of teaching the Word of God that can help people grow. Indeed, teaching the Word of God is teaching that changes lives, from cradle to grave.
Teaching for Eternity (children)
There are more and more challenges today in teaching ministry in the church. We have willing and knowledgeable teachers, but perhaps not equipped enough to deliver the lesson or help students learn. As a result, we may present all the facts in the Bible without really guiding the children to know Christ. We also have an explosion of resources each claiming that they are the best, but in fact, not all really meet the need of the children.
This training is intended to help teachers renew their vision in teaching the Word of God for eternal value. There will be four informative, interesting and practical sessions in optimizing the use of story-telling, songs, discipline and creative resources for teachable moments for various age group, including tips for teachers who do not have the opportunity for special Bible training, to improve their personal Bible study.
Trainers
This training will be conducted by students of the MACE (Master of Art in Christian Education) program, under supervision of Dr.Koh Siang Kiang.
Audience
Sunday School teachers who have not had any training, senior teachers who want to be refreshed or plan to conduct their own training in church, as well as anyone interested in children ministry in church.
