Blk 5 Redevelopment
Blk 5 transition

Indeed, we are humbled by God’s faithfulness to the Singapore Bible College in the past 54 years and we look forward to journeying further with Him as we develop an outstanding theological college for the equipping of His faithful servants. God has blessed SBC with a student enrolment growth of 40 percent over six years, and the number is still growing. With the new academic year commencing in July 2007, we have a record enrolment of 160 students from 23 countries. This brings the total student population to well over 500 students, trained here by an excellent team of faculty, many of whom are missionaries from afar.

To accommodate this growing community, we are embarking on a S$7.5 million (US$4.85 million) rebuilding project of Block 5 into a full-fledged hall of residence which will house 116 residents as against the current 19. It is expected to commence in June 2007 for completion in June 2008. When completed, it will house more students and faculty members and be a nurturing center for these cross-cultural students.

We pray that as you read the information presented here, the Holy Spirit will move your hearts to respond to partner SBC in the construction of this new building, as the faithful followers of God have done in the past. Exodus 25: 1-2 and 36: 1-7 tell us that the Lord instructed Moses to raise an offering from the people whose hearts were willing to give towards the building of the tabernacle. The outcome was that the people gave much more than was required and Moses had to restrain them from making further offering. In Nehemiah 2, the Lord also moved the heart of a pagan, King Artaxerxes, to give Nehemiah what he needed to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem.

By contributing to this project, we welcome you as our partner in world evangelization, making a positive impact for Christ as we continue to build a community of potential missionaries, preachers, pastors, leaders of the church and faithful servants of the Lord.

May God bless you in your giving and generous support.
